This was my last photo in the Southwest. The warm air was not pushing past the easterly flow and that boundary from earlier remained totally stationary in Michigan so I headed home, no storms at all!
The storms did eventually come to me back home. A squall line as forecast developed in Michigan and it crossed the lakes around 11PM arriving in Ontario at 12AM and striking the GTA around 1:30AM
When the squall finally arrived... it sucked! LOL
The lightning was really BLAH
The best lightning was to my SW and I did not want to go for another drive. Plus the rain was getting in the way so I kept shooting out my window.
This was one of the few stringy bolts I was able to barely capture.
This bright flash was buried somewhere in the cloud and just quickly lit the whole sky. After this I called it a night as the lightning was dimishing rapidly.
