Working in the news industry, I’ve been presented with a constant stream of spot news among my general assignments. Here’s a small sampling, a tiny portion, a mere blip of some of the spot news stories that I’ve been a witness to.

An ETF officer chats with an 11 Division sergeant in Toronto near a perimeter point at Keele St & Glenlake Ave.
K9 and several other ETF officers on the opposite side of the street follow a track looking for suspects in a shooting that occurred just minutes earlier.
The ETF team & tactical medics were already nearby due to an earlier shooting, followed by two separate stabbings all within the hour.

Needless to say, the morning rush was a nightmare for commuters and many pigs were not lucky enough to escape injury.
*OPP received the initial rollover call at 4:30AM as HWY 410/401 which was incorrectly updated as 427/401 and again this was later finally corrected to HWY 427 SB EXP to Gardiner/QEW EB EXP after MTO/COMPASS/RESCUE cameras verified the location.
